To mark (no pun intended) the 25th anniversary of Sailing To Philadelphia – the second solo studio album by British singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Knopfler – it will be released as a standalone vinyl release for the first time, as this 2LP clear vinyl pressing.

Issued in September 2000, the 60-minute long-player includes purposeful lead single 'What It Is', the fine storytelling of the title track (a duet with James Taylor), 'The Last Laugh' which features additional vocals from Van Morrison and 'Silvertown Blues' (the third and final single from the album). The album also features guest appearances from Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze.

Recorded in Nashville and produced by Knopfler and Chuck Ainlay, Sailing To Philadelphia reached the top of the album charts in Germany, Italy, Norway and Switzerland, number 4 in the UK official album charts, and is certified 2x platinum in Europe.

This 2LP clear vinyl set features 14 songs and is based on the original UK CD tracklisting, which features 'Do America' (omitted from the International release) and 'One More Matinee' (missing from the US release).

Additionally, an SDE exclusive blu-ray is available for a limited time, along with a blu-ray + 2LP vinyl bundle.

Sailing to Philadelphia will be released on 26 September 2025.
