Studio album from 2000 • SDE Exclusive • Dolby Atmos Mix • Instrumentals • Hi-Res Stereo • Region-free blu-ray • #45 in the SDE Surround Series
Mark Knopfler's second solo album, Sailing to Philadelphia, is being reissued as this SDE exclusive blu-ray featuring a Dolby Atmos Mix.
Issued in September 2000, the 60-minute album includes purposeful lead single 'What It Is', the fine storytelling of the title track (a duet with James Taylor), 'The Last Laugh' which features additional vocals from Van Morrison and 'Silvertown Blues' (which was the third and final single from the album). It also features guest appearances from Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze.
The blu-ray features a Dolby Atmos Mix by Guy Fletcher, an exclusive instrumental version of the album, also in Atmos, as well as the original stereo mix. The album includes 14 songs, based on the original UK CD tracklisting, which featured 'Do America' (omitted from the International release) and 'One More Matinee' (missing from the US release).

This blu-ray audio requires a blu-ray player. Decoding the Dolby Atmos Mix requires a Dolby Atmos certified soundbar or a Dolby Atmos compatible receiver or amplifier, with appropriate speaker set-up. The Dolby Atmos Mix will play on 5.1 systems. It will 'fold down' to 5.1 if an Atmos decoder is not detected and sounds in elements that are unique to Atmos (e.g. 'height' speakers) will get player via other channels.
