#62: Roxy Music / Flesh + Blood SDE exclusive blu-ray audio

Roxy Music's 1980 album, Flesh + Blood, is now available to pre-order as a limited edition SDE exclusive blu-ray audio. It features an immersive 2026 Dolby Atmos Mix, amongst other content.

The band's seventh studio album was a big commercial success, reaching No 1 on the UK albums chart and enjoying two top 10 hit singles in 'Over You' and 'Oh Yeah'. Third single 'Same Old Scene' reached No 12 in Britain and Wilson Pickett cover 'In The Midnight Hour' was released as a single in the US.

This region-free blu-ray audio features a brand new Dolby Atmos Mix by Bob Clearmountain who worked alongside original album co-producer Rhett Davies to create this immersive mix. It also includes a 5.1 Mix and the entire album in instrumental form (in Dolby Atmos) and the original 1980 mix, remastered for 2026.

The new Atmos Mix was overseen and approved by Roxy Music and the album's co-producer Rhett Davies.

The blu-ray is #61 in the ongoing SDE Surround Series and comes packaged in the same deluxe hardcover mediabook packaging used for the Roxy Music's Avalon and as ever, Flesh + Blood ships with a free, collectible SDE Surround Series slipcase.

Dolby Atmos Mixes on blu-ray offer much higher quality than their streaming counterparts. They are not compressed as on streaming platforms. Encoded in Dolby TrueHD Atmos it has a bit rate 10 times higher (up to 8000 kbits/s) than streaming’s Dolby Digital Plus (768 kbits/s).

Flesh + Blood blu-ray is time-limited and is available to pre-order until 8 April 2026. It will be released on 19 June via UMR.
