The Who set a (then) record for the largest ever indoor rock concert attendance when 76,898 people packed into Metropolitan Stadium in Pontiac, also known as 'The Silverdome'. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDue to the venue's size, a large closed circut video screen was installed and four cameras were used to convey instant visuals to the back projection. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe images were recorded onto 2\" videotape with the sound captured in mono via a direct line feed from the PA.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn 1977 the film was partly used in The Kids Are Alright movie but some 50 years on the entire show has been exhumed from The Who's Archives and professionally cleaned up, with the audio remastered (it remains in mono).
