Essentially, we wanted to keep the feel of the 2013 version and retain the essence of the original album mix, but with the rhythm section more centrally focused (as opposed to panned hard left). We also wanted to expand on the clarity and depth contained within the original multi-track recordings, as some of the channels on the 1" 8-track analogue tapes contained incredibly complex instrumental layers which were tucked in amongst the sonics of the original mix - so, there's a chance that you may hear parts you've never noticed before. Additionally, the 2026 mix contains an extended version of Pinball Wizard, in which we utilised the pinball sound effects that the band recorded on the original multi-track tape but were never used on the original album mix. This sounds particularly cool in the Dolby Atmos/Spatial mix, with the pinball bouncing around the space, or, as I like to call it, the 'lenticular' or 'autostereoscopic' image".

The 2013 5.1 mix that Whittaker refers to is also included in the SDE blu-ray.
